Adult Cold



This drug is belonging to decongestant, analgesic and anti-fever drug class.
Each capsule contains 200 mg of ibuprofen and 30 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.
Ibuprofen is a propionic acid derivative and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has analgesic and anti-fever effects.

The Mechanism of action:
Decongestants Effect:  Pseudoephedrine affects on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the lining of the respiratory tract and cause narrowing of the arteries. Pseudoephedrine reduce nasal mucous membrane inflammation, edema and nasal congestion and increase the capacity of the nasal passages and sinus discharge also increases.
Anti-pain Effect: Ibuprofen inhibits pain, through environmental impact that may be associated with reduced activity and possibly by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins or other substances that are sensitive to mechanical stimuli and chemical pain receptors.

Indications:
Treatment of nasal congestion
The treatment of sinus congestion and headaches caused by sinusitis.
Temporary relief of nasal congestion and sinus
Relieve headaches caused by sinusitis, colds, allergies, high fever
Temporary relief of congestion associated with acute catarrh
The treatment of otitis media and bronchitis

General Guidelines for proper use of drugs:
This medication is prescribed for your current condition. Therefore, Do not use it in similar Conditions and do not recommend it to others.
The Drug is not recommended for children under 12 years.
Meal the drug at regular intervals and complete the treatment course.
Do not use more than prescribed dose.
To reduce gastrointestinal irritation, particularly in continuous use and long, it should be taken after a meal or with food or with anti-acids (magnesium and aluminum containing anti-acids preferably).
It is recommended that to meal capsule with a glass of water and swallowed without chewing.
If you forget a dose of medicine, meal it at the first opportunity, but if subsequent time is reached, use prescribed dose and avoid double dosage.
In elderly patients especially 70 years or older, it is recommended to reducing the original value even by half adult dose.
In patients with kidney disease, to prevent the accumulation of metabolites or other drugs in the body, the dose may be reduced.

Before using this drug, consult with your doctor or pharmacist in the following cases:
If you are allergic to pseudoephedrine and with a history of hypersensitivity to other sympathomimetic drugs (e.g., amphetamines, ephedrine, epinephrine, Isoproterenol, metaproterenol, norepinephrine, phenylephrine, phenylpropanolamine, terbutaline).
If you are allergic to salicylates (such as aspirin) or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as mefenamic acid, indomethacin, piroxicam, naproxen, diclofenac, tolmetin, phenybutazone).
In the case of allergic to protecting material, colors and gelatin
In the case of prostate hypertrophy
If you have high blood pressure, ulcers, gastrointestinal disorders, inflammation of the gums and mouth, decreased bone marrow activity, cardiopulmonary disease, liver disease or kidney disease.

Use during pregnancy:
Use of ibuprofen-containing compounds during the second half of pregnancy due to the potential side effects on blood flow to the fetus and the possibility of prolonged pregnancy is not recommended. Pseudoephedrine enough studies have been done on humans.

Use during lactation: 
pseudoephedrine secreted in breast milk, therefore the use of this medicine in breast-feeding should be done under medical supervision.

Use in the elderly:
In prostatic hypertrophy usage dose should be adjusted by the doctor. These patients are more sensitive to the effects of sympathomimetic amines. Also in these patients the risk of toxicity increases with ibuprofen. 

Drug Interactions:
Consult with your doctor or pharmacist in the case of use other drugs such as antihypertensive drug, motive or inhibitors of nervous system, anticoagulants, aspirin, cephalosporins, cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, probenecid, triamterene, valproic acid.

Note the followings during the course of taking this medicine:
To reduce the risk of sleep disorders, medication an hour before bedtime
Consult with your doctor If symptoms persist or worsen after 3 days, or fever did not stop. 
If you require any surgery, talk with your doctor or your dentist about taking this medicine.
Do not use products containing alcohol during the treatment, because the risk of stomach ulcers increases.
This medication may cause drowsiness, dizziness, confusion and impaired vision. Therefore, during treatment should be avoided to driving and working with instruments that need to be alert.

Be administered with caution in the following cases:
In cardiovascular disease, including heart ischemia, congestive heart failure or artery disease kronor (due to high blood pressure)
In diabetes, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy
Mild allergic reactions, such as allergic rhinitis, urticaria, skin irritation, asthma and edema
Anemia or a history of blood disorders such as hemophilia

Drug and dosage:
In adults, and people over 12 years as a decongestant analgesic and antipyretic amount of 1-2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours.
Dosage in the elderly is prescribed by the doctor.

Side effects:
Each drug, along the desired treatment effects may cause some unwanted side effects.  Although all of these effects cannot be seen in a person, but if you see this effects, stop medication and consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Itching, hives, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, breathing problems, fever and chills, fatigue, itching, rash, dizziness, heartburn and blood problems
Less common side effects: seizures, hallucinations, cardiac disorders, itching, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, tinnitus, kidney problems, irritability, bloating, constipation, loss of appetite, diarrhea and indigestion.

Poisoning:
In the case of taking more than the recommended dose or in the event of accidental use by children under 12 years of age, treatment must be stopped and the patient should be immediately transferred to medical centers.

Keep it away from light and Moisture and in it’s Original pack.
Keep it away from children reach
Do not use expired drug.
